A newsroom that starts every story with the official document.
FactFiled covers the official notices that change people's money, safety, jobs and immigration status in the United States. We read the filing, the recall notice, the court order or the bulletin, and we tell you what it says, who it affects and what to do by when.
What we cover
- Money & Benefits: Social Security and SSI payment dates and the annual cost-of-living adjustment, IRS refund timing and tax-year figures, SNAP issuance and eligibility by state, student-loan changes, Medicare premiums and enrollment, VA pay and unemployment rules, and viral "stimulus check" claims checked against the documents.
- Recalls & Safety: FDA, USDA, CPSC and NHTSA recalls as structured pages with the product, lots, states, hazard and remedy.
- Settlements & Refunds: class-action settlements with deadlines and claim forms, data-breach settlements, FTC refund programs and state attorney general settlements.
- Jobs & Layoffs: layoffs by company and state from WARN notices and SEC filings, with what to do in the first thirty days.
- Immigration & Visas: the monthly Visa Bulletin, USCIS processing times, H-1B rules and proclamations, and travel advisories.
What makes a FactFiled page
Every page carries a Source Card that links the document it was built from, a Key facts box with the numbers and dates, a "What to do" list taken from the official instructions, and a "How we reported this" note naming the person who wrote it, the person who edited it and, on money, legal and immigration explainers, the credentialed reviewer who checked it. Living trackers carry a visible "last verified" time and a dated changelog.
What we do not do
We do not rewrite other outlets' stories, publish wire copy, or produce pages from AI without a person writing and editing them. We do not run general breaking news, politics, crime, sports or celebrity coverage. We do not give personal financial, legal or immigration advice; we explain what the documents say and link you to the official process.
Who we are
FactFiled is published by Henry Digital Hub Marketing Management, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The newsroom is small by design: one editor writes and is accountable for every page, and subject reviewers check the pages that touch money, law and immigration.
