Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies used on FactFiled.

What cookies we use

  • Necessary: consent preferences, security and the newsletter form. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (which does not store IP addresses) and Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless service that sets no cookie.
  • Advertising: Our advertising partners, including Google, and the consent tool that records your choices. These cookies are used to show relevant ads, limit how often you see an ad and measure ad performance. Google's use of advertising cookies is described at Google's "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" page.

Your choices

FactFiled is not showing ads yet. Until it does, Google Analytics is the only Google service on the site, and for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it starts with analytics storage switched off. When advertising starts, visitors in those places will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent dialog before any advertising cookie is set, and you will be able to change your choice at any time from the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer. In US states with privacy laws, you can opt out of personalized advertising through the same control or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Third parties

Advertising and analytics providers set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control them. When advertising starts, the list of advertising technology providers will be available from the consent dialog.
