Who writes, edits and reviews FactFiled.
FactFiled is a one-editor newsroom with subject reviewers. Every page names the people responsible for it.
Editor
The founding editor writes and edits every page, runs the verification checklist before anything is published, and is the person accountable for corrections. The editor's profile, credentials and contact details are on the author page linked from every byline.
Reviewers
Explainers on the Money & Benefits, Settlements & Refunds and Immigration & Visas desks are reviewed before publication by a person with relevant professional experience. Reviewers are named in the "How we reported this" box on the page they reviewed, with their credentials. Reviewer profiles appear on the site as each reviewer is appointed; a page is not published as "reviewed" until a named reviewer has signed it off.
Where we work
The newsroom operates from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on US Eastern Time for publishing decisions. All dates and deadlines on the site are stated in the reader's terms with the time zone.
