Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure
How ads and affiliate links work on FactFiled.
Advertising
FactFiled carries display advertising served by Google AdSense and, as the site grows, by premium advertising partners. Ads appear only in reserved positions marked "Advertisement" and never inside the Key facts or What to do boxes. Advertisers do not know in advance what we will cover and have no influence over coverage. Advertising is placed automatically by the ad network; an ad's appearance next to a notice about a company is not an endorsement or a comment on that company.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain links to products or services for which we may receive a commission if you buy or sign up. These links are marked as affiliate links on the page and carry the "sponsored" attribute so search engines treat them correctly. We choose affiliate offers after a page is written, based on their relevance to what the reader needs to do next, and never in the Recalls & Safety desk. We do not say or imply that you qualify for a product or benefit; eligibility is decided by the provider.
Sponsored content
If we ever publish sponsored content or a sponsored newsletter section, it is labeled "Sponsored" or "Paid partnership" at the top, is produced separately from the newsroom, and is never presented as a notice or a fact check.
FTC guidance
These disclosures follow the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides and its guidance on native advertising. We do not publish fake or AI-generated reviews.
