How to report an error and what happens next.
We correct errors quickly and visibly.
Report an error
Email corrections@factfiled.com with the page address and what you believe is wrong. Include the document that supports the correction if you have it. We acknowledge every report within one business day.
What we do
- Factual errors are corrected within 24 hours of confirmation. The correction is noted in the "Updates" section of the page with the date and what changed.
- Substantive updates (a deadline moved, an amount changed, a recall expanded) are logged the same way, and the page's modified date is updated only when the content changed.
- Errors of omission or emphasis are reviewed by the editor and, where warranted, the page is revised with a note.
- Retraction requests receive a documented response within 48 hours.
What we do not do
We do not silently edit published pages. Typographical fixes that do not change meaning are made without a note; anything that changes a fact, a number or a date is logged.
