Walmart recalls: what has been pulled this year
Recalls of products sold at Walmart in 2026, from Great Value and Marketside own brands to the goods it stocks for other makers, with the hazard, the number of units and the official notice.

Walmart does not issue most of these recalls. A recall is announced by the company that made the product, or by the agency that regulates it, and Walmart appears because it sold the item. The distinction matters when you go looking for a refund: the remedy is usually set by the manufacturer, and the shop is where you take the product back.
Two federal agencies cover almost everything on this page. The Consumer Product Safety Commission handles household goods, furniture, toys, electronics and anything with a battery, and its recall records name the shops that sold the item. The Food and Drug Administration covers food, drugs and cosmetics, and its enforcement reports name the brand rather than the retailer, so Walmart's own labels, Great Value and Marketside, are how its food recalls surface. This table carries 31 CPSC recalls whose notice names Walmart and 3 FDA enforcement records for those two brands, newest first.
Two are worth acting on now. Great Value Organic Triple Berry Blend, lot 6040 01-6, is under a do-not-eat warning in an E. coli outbreak, and its best-by date of February 2028 means the bags are still in freezers. Mainstays nine-drawer fabric dressers were recalled in May and re-announced in August, about 165,000 of them, because they tip over if they are not anchored to the wall.
One pattern runs through the year. Four separate recalls on this page are chests of drawers that tip over, covering more than 200,000 units between them, and a fifth is a set of bed rails. Furniture that is stable enough in a showroom becomes unstable when a child opens the top drawer and climbs, which is why the federal advice is to anchor a chest to the wall whether or not it has been recalled. Batteries are the other recurring hazard: hand warmers, power banks, a pressure washer and a vacuum cleaner all appear here for overheating or shock risks.

- Does Walmart contact you about a recall?
- Only if it can identify you as a purchaser, usually through a Walmart.com account or a card used in store. Most recalls of items bought with cash reach people through the news or through a notice at the shop, which is why checking a list like this one matters.
- Can I return a recalled item without a receipt?
- Usually yes. The remedy set out in the recall notice is what the manufacturer has committed to, and it commonly covers a refund or replacement whether or not you kept the receipt. Take the item and the notice with you, and if the item is unsafe to transport, such as a fuel container or a battery that has overheated, ring the number on the notice first.
- Why do Walmart food recalls list only Great Value and Marketside?
- Because the FDA records the brand on the product rather than the shops that sold it. A national brand recalled from every supermarket appears under its own name, not under Walmart. This page shows Walmart own-label food, plus the products the CPSC has recalled where the notice names Walmart as a seller.
