No-proof class action settlements: open now
Settlements accepting claims without a receipt, read from each court-approved settlement website: what a claim pays, the deadline, and the case behind it.
Last verified · refreshed weekly
Most class action settlements let people claim without a receipt, on a signed statement that they bought the product, and pay more to people who kept one. The catch is that the same phrase, "no proof of purchase", is the bait on every fake settlement site. This page lists only settlements whose terms were read on the settlement website named in the court's order, with the case number so the docket can be checked.
Each row gives what a claim pays without a receipt, what it pays with one, and the claim deadline. Where a settlement pays a pro rata share, the amount per person is not known until the claims are counted, and the row says so. Government refund programs, which usually need no claim at all, are on the open settlements tracker. How to file a settlement claim without being scammed covers the checks to run before typing anything into a claim form.

What to do
- Open the settlement site from the link in the table, not from a message or an ad, and check that the case name and number match the notice.
- File before the deadline; online claims close at the administrator’s stated time on the day, and mailed claims must be postmarked by it. Official link
- Keep the confirmation number. Payment follows the final approval hearing, and any appeal delays it. Official link
Questions readers ask
- What does "no proof of purchase" mean in a class action settlement?
- The claim form lets you state, under penalty of perjury, that you bought the product during the class period without attaching a receipt. Settlements usually cap what a no-receipt claim pays, such as one unit or a flat amount, and pay more to people who can document more purchases.
- Why does a pro rata settlement not say how much I will get?
- Because the fund is divided among everyone who files a valid claim, after fees and costs, and nobody knows how many claims will arrive until the deadline passes. The pork and Dr. Squatch settlements work this way; Bestway, VSL#3 and Lands’ End state fixed amounts.
- How can I tell a real settlement website from a fake one?
- The real site is named in the court’s notice and carries the case name and number, which you can match against the court’s docket. It never asks for a fee, a bank login or a card number, and the administrator’s address on it is a post office box or a law firm, not a payment link.
