USCIS

USCIS processing times, fees and policy notices.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services publishes a processing time for every form it decides, at every office that decides it. The figure is the number of months within which the office completed 80 percent of those cases in the previous six months, which makes it a description of the recent past rather than an estimate of your case.

The same tool carries a second, stricter figure. Case inquiry dates use the 93rd percentile, and they answer a different question: whether USCIS will accept a question about a case that seems stuck. A receipt dated before that day qualifies; one dated after it does not.

The pages here carry both figures for all 90 field offices, alongside the policy notices and fee changes that decide how applications are handled in the first place.
